Booking.com: Hotels & Travel

What Booking.com is for

Booking.com: Hotels & Travel is a travel planning app for finding and booking places to stay, with flights, car rentals and local attractions available in the same service. It suits travelers who want to compare many types of accommodation, from hotels and hostels to apartments and villas, without switching between several apps. It can also help with last-minute searches as well as trips planned well in advance.

What it does well

• Broad choice: Search across a large range of properties and narrow results with filters for location, price, accommodation type and other needs.
• Flexible booking: Listings can show cancellation terms clearly, including options with free cancellation where offered.
• One place for trip details: Reservations can be kept digitally, while in-app communication with properties can help with check-in questions or special requests.
• Useful for international travel: The service supports customer assistance in many languages, which can matter when plans change abroad.

What to watch for

The size of the catalogue is useful, but it can also make choosing slower. A long list of properties, room types, prices and policies means that the headline rate is not the only detail to check. Cancellation rules, payment timing, room conditions and the final price can vary between listings. The app is a strong fit for comparison-focused travelers, but people who already know exactly where they want to stay may find the number of options more than they need.

At a glance

With a 4.8 rating from more than 5.6 million reviews and 500,000,000+ installs, Booking.com: Hotels & Travel is one of the most widely used travel apps in its category. It is published by Booking.com Hotels & Vacation Rentals and belongs to Travel & Local. Its main advantage is breadth: accommodation search, booking management and several other travel services are brought together in one app.
