Shonen Jump Manga & Comics

What Shonen Jump Manga & Comics is for

Shonen Jump Manga & Comics is a digital manga reader from Viz Media. It suits readers who want official English editions of Shonen Jump series in one place, whether they are starting a new title or keeping up with newly released chapters. The app combines current releases with a large back catalogue, making it useful for both occasional reading and following several long-running series.

What it does well

• Provides official English translations of new chapters close to their Japanese release.
• Offers a substantial library, including complete runs and older chapters for readers who want to catch up.
• Supports a focused reading experience with page-turning, zooming, and landscape viewing for two-page spreads.
• Allows chapters to be downloaded for offline reading and keeps reading progress available across supported devices through an account.

Who should use it

This is a strong fit for manga readers who prefer a legal source and want more than isolated volume purchases. Newcomers can use the available releases to sample series, while dedicated readers get a practical way to work through large portions of the catalogue. The broad library also makes it more suitable for regular reading than an app built around a single title or publisher line.

What to keep in mind

The catalogue is built around Shonen Jump and Viz Media’s available publishing rights, so it is not a general-purpose manga service. Reading access can also depend on the app’s free and membership options, and daily chapter limits may matter to readers who move through series quickly. Even with those boundaries, its user response is notably strong: it holds a 4.86/5 rating from more than 81,000 reviews and has recorded 1,000,000+ installs.
